Task
Almost every case or request will have tasks to be completed before resolving the case or fulfilling the request. It could be HR Tasks that are performed by the HR team or HR External Tasks that are tasks related to the HR department but performed by a non-HR team.
•The HR-specific ones are displayed in the HR Task workspace which will be completed by the HR team.
•The non-HR ones are displayed in the HR External Task workspace and are completed by non-HR teams.
•You can view these tasks from within the parent item (that is, from the HR Case or HR Request records) as well. Viewing from the HR Task and HR External Task workspaces gives a better picture of all tasks assigned to you and assigned by you and its statuses.
Working with the HR Tasks and External HR Tasks
If a task is wrongly assigned to you/your team, you can reassign it to a different team.
1.Select the task and click Reassign.
2.Select the team in the dialog box that pops and click Ok.
You can accept, reject or cancel an accepted task for valid reason.
•Select the task and click Accept, Reject, Cancel, or Delete button.
Note that you can only cancel tasks that you have already accepted. Canceled tasks will be displayed with Status as Cancel, but deleted tasks will remove the record from the Task workspace.
You can put accepted tasks on hold if you cannot attend to it immediately due to changed priorities.
1.Select the task and click Waiting.
2.Enter the reason in the pop-up dialog box and click Ok.
The task's Status is updated as Waiting.
3.Click Continue when you are ready to work on the task. The Status changes to Accepted.

2.Enter the number of hours spent on the task in the pop-up dialog box and click Ok.
You cannot edit a completed task.
